Over the last few months three seminars were held in Beirut, Mont Liban and the Bekaa region.

A total of 43 teachers (41 Lebanese and 2 Palestinians) were awarded the certificate of Lebanon NSI (National School Instructor). The award ceremony was held as part of the closing ceremony for the Lebanese Chess Championship.

It is gratifying that the distribution of those certificates was assisted by officials from the Ministry of Education.

The trainers who gave the seminars were FI Roland Akhrass (President of the Lebanese CiS Committee and Vice President of the Lebanese Federation) and FT & IM Fadi Eid.

Materials were provided by FIDE-CiS and the trainers’ own preparation was assisted by an internet seminar.

Our thanks to Roland Akhrass for the photographs which appear below, showing the seminars and also some of the presentations at the awards ceremony.
